The preliminary version of the new planning regulations (PGOU) envisages the construction of 3,600 new homes over the next 20 years. Of these 2,696 homes are already included in the existing regulations but have yet to be built. The area of land classed as available for building will be increased by 300 hectares and 95 per cent of the municipality will be classed as protected land.
