Airlines have asked for authorisation for 37 326 planes to use Malaga airport this winter.

Malaga Airport faces the start of the winter season with eleven per cent more applications for flight authorisation than the same time last year. The figures demonstrate the growing importance of tourism in the coldest months of the year and the fact that more and more airlines are choosing to fly to and from Malaga. In fact it is Malaga Airport that has seen the greatest increase in applications out of all of Spain's Major terminals.
